Welcome to The Celtic Tavern at Riverside Downs
Riverside Downs was opened on March 21th, 2008 and has a slant for the modern day Celtic nations. The focal point in the main bar is a stone tower which reflects the tower at Glendalough, but with more modern colors like Irish pubs have had for the past 10 years.
The Welsh, Cornish, Breton and Scottish themes are blended together as opposed to having specific areas. There is a cosy room at the back which is popular for parties, and is themed around horse racing mainly in Ireland, as Riverside Downs was previously a race course. Vintage racing silks adorn the walls brought over from Wales and Ireland, and pictures of the famous 'Arkle' are the walls along with his legendary Aintree story.
A large outdoor patio faces onto the Platte river and makes for the perfect spot to enjoy a 'Pint of Plain' - yer only man!
